Wow! What a weekend…where do I start?
New Years Eve – a good friend got married in the evening of Dec 31st. After the wedding, they had the reception in a beautiful ballroom downtown. Being in a ballroom, the reception included a live DJ and lots of dancing music.
It was by far the best wedding reception I have ever been too – and the best party! We literal danced the year away – waltzes, swing, two-steps, and free-style. It rocked!! [and I burned out both of my escorts – my wife and her older sister] =D
New Years Day – the day of the big game: BSU vs OU. David and Goliath. It was the BEST football game EVER!!! BSU started off strong with 14 points within the first 7 minutes of the game ending the first half with a 18 point lead (28 to 10). OU came back in the second half to tie the game with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter.
All BSU had to do was run the clock down and take the game into OT. However, the QB through an interception which OU ran back for a touch down, leave BSU down 7 points and only a minute 30 left on the clock. BSU picked up steam and moved the ball down the field ending with an amazing touchdown play that included a lateral toss by a BSU receiver with 7 seconds left. Tied game.
Moving into OT, OU had the first chance as makes it to the end zone within 10 seconds of OT. BSU is now 7 point behind – again… BSU gets the ball on their 25 yard line and starts moving the ball. On fourth down and 2 yard for a first [4 yards for a touchdown], they through it in being them up too within 1 point of OU. (it was a nail biter for sure).
BSU comes out – will it be a field goal for 1 leading them into double OT or a 2-point conversion…
BSU goes for 2!!!! The QB back out, looks to the right, fakes the throw and hands the ball off to start running back, Ian Johnson (#41 I might add…) who runs it in untouched. BSU wins the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s right boys – Idaho can play ball!
